Rassie is talking stats 😅something you guys can't understand ❤ go Rassie 🎉
Rassie Erasmus is an intelligent coach. He can switch a game and leave opponents surprised❤❤❤
The guy is super dialed in to the tone of the nation, yes you can experiment and yes we need to win 2027 BUT first we have to beat ireland 2-0
Incredible transparency.
IN YOOOOOOUURRR HEAAAAAD IN YOUUUUUR HEAAAAAAD. RASSSIE! RAAAASSSIE EH EH EHHHH! 🇿🇦🏆🏆🏆🏆
No man. Let’s Spice it up. Let’s keep it that way. 💪🏻💪🏿💪🏾. Exactly. Don’t talk shit for 5 yrs Ireland. About steroids. Boring. Cry babies. Etc. Then come the hour start backing down. Talk the talk walk the walk. We want to show Ireland some good ole Southern hospitality 😂😂😂😂😂
Shame man, Rassie doesn't look too well, hope he's alright😢
It’s hilarious that Tyrone green .. Tyrone is a literal county in ireland 😂
Very good press conference. Impressed with Rassie. Keep going
Rassie is 🤴
We love you Rassie ❤️
Rassie’ a lingo is hilarious. What is “siergad “ now?😂
Sour grapes.
Bitter
Literally translates to: sour ass. Means to be resentful
No questions about forced quota players? The forced number of non-white players who have to be selected?
He rescued the Bokke from Kamp Skaajad
*Staaldraad
Am I the only one that wants to sit down with Rassie at a braai with a couple of beers and just listen to his stories?
These Journalists really need to up their game with the questions being asked. Rassie is way ahead of them and already has the exact answer they want to hear (even thoagh behind closed doors his answer might be different). He basically confirmed there are players in the system who would get preferrential treatment when selecting the squad due to being on a list and being funded even if someone might be better in form currently who is not on the list/funded and no one askes a followup question regarding it as that seems a bit unfair. And with that also being the case cant see that his comment about the best squad being selected is true. Still a very strong squad though and we are spoiled for choice.
I think he was clear that those guys are there because they have done the job time and time again until they don’t do the job they will have the inside line which makes sense but he is building depth and there are players to cover those positions. He was frank about the fact that some positions might have a lot of depth but quickly 2-3 “first choicers” are out for various reasons so the 4-6 get a chance.
Awesome to have Doctor Rassie officially back on the coach couch🎉
Next level
Great question Stevie P!
Graceless nonsense. The referee was poor, but that affected both sides. To blame the refereeing of 1 maul....really? Can Jake also list the international honours won by the Glasgow bench who came on the park? Other than George Turner the rest have no senior caps. Magnanimous in defeat you are not Jake.
He already knows his SA people’s questions and is so emotionally and intellectually intelligent that he has no need to explain more than what is on his mind (and pours out of his mouth!). The greatest rugby… and man-mind I have ever seen. Honesty, integrity and blatant manliness. There is so much in this man’s mindset that makes him a superior man. Rassie… my age companion… when you are tired of making okes run good lines, tackle to the law, scrum to a refs preference, think like an accountable man and be a leader in your own oxygen-consumption space… we need you to run for SA president. We would all follow you.
As can have 2 classic bok teams
Siya dude don't ever go back to kooking and boiling stick with braai mana they called you fat
Rassie is so relaxed. 2 WCs will do that to you.
Don’t forget Lions series without playing for 2 years
All the new guys against Portugal cmon rassie do it
How come Sanele Nohamba was invited to this year's first alignment camp, was named URC Player of the Year, covers 9 and 10 ... and is now nowhere? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
He is getting valuable training and experience within the system Rassie/Springboks play (different from his club), if he slots in he plays. It is giving opportunity to get with a different "program" when it clicks, he can play - if he plays before it clicks it will not serve him or his teammates relying on one unifying program.
@@mullerierabe-taljaard4867 No wonder we score so few tries, because our backs are picked to be robots. We need individual brilliance.
Rassie has earned my respect to never question his decisions
@@noluthando6757 I also respect his decisions, but I feel for Sanele. For Rassie life goes on, for Sanele it may feel like the end of his career. His team mate, Hendrikse, came from nowhere, basically replaced him in the squad and the next moment got his first cap. On strength of what, considering that Sanele was pivotal in the Lions squad's success, was at the first alignment camp and was named URC Player Of The Season. And then Hendrikse was a bit of a failure in his first test against an under-par side. My heart bleeds for Sanele.
Why do the so-called journos never ask questions about the race quotas the Bok management have to negotiate? Are they happy with having to consider their team composition also on factors that have nothing to do with rugby?
Well if you were really honest with yourself you would realise that even if the quotas were in place they are not needed. A backline of Williams, SachaZulu, Moodie, Willemse, Am, Arendse and Fassi could quite easily become the future backline of the Springboks.
@@mountainman9145 What about the white players who have departed these shores because they knew they could well be discriminated against, and probably have been. A number of them have already represented other nations, which really, is a scandal. Apparently almost 400 white players now ply their trade overseas. The law and SA Rugby require that 60% of the 2030 Boks have to be players of colour. Don't forget also that fewer than 30% of South Africa's senior rugby players are players of colour. So the requirement is that by 2030, 60% of our Boks must come from that 30%. And you see nothing wrong with that? How about merit and merit only? Then many of our "coloured" Boks will not be referred to as quota players by most "men in the street".
@@mountainman9145 am is 31 and almost time for him to retire but even then ...agree with all of them except fassi? Willemse isnt our best 12 and wont ever be when we can pick Andre and DDA
@@heinrichalberts4203Willemse is an amazing utility back. He’s not a specialist 12, or a 10 or a 15. He’s GOOD at all of them. And he’s in great form. I’d wager he’s our starting 15 with Willie on the bench. He covers almost all the backs.
@@RobertFall i didnt say he is ...i was replying on the first comment?
Uitstekende Perskonferensie! Groete uit LIma Peru!
What bad blood? Oh it’s between Rassie ears
??
Gotta love Rassie!
Rassie's explanation of "form" vs playing a specific team vs doing the fundamentals right .... this is genius! He is spoilt for choice and has the room to be versatile with his selections. Looking forward to the next RWC.
Ppl really be throwing around the word genius way too much these days. What he said many other coaches have said.
@@Sineadmcdyou’re quite right, he is a genius.
@@duPlus3 😅😅
Rassie!!! I love you ❤️
Dude no gayness kidding man i dig him
I want to marry Rassie
From outsiders like Tyrone Green, Jean Luc DuPreez and Siya Masuku - Rassie Eramus has a dossier on every potential Springbok. From his track record no one can argue he does not know what he is doing - until the Boks start failing, Erasmus rules.
Sorry but it’s hilarious that the players name is Tyrone when that’s a literal county in ireland
When it comes to player development and planning for the future, cannot go far better in terms of individuals then Rassie! Love what he has done with the Boks and SARugby!!!!
rassie is amazing
How is 4 hockers to many. We ran out of hockers at previous worldcup. They need to learn from the best Malcom and Bongi.
Ja and wessels can mos play loosehead as well so he's a good one for the future
Nice win against the blind school Wales
Naas Botha still kick better than the Boks kickers lol
We have pollard with a 100% kicking rate in the world cup😂😂the competition is also a lot more competitive compared to how it used to be
Thing is Naas retired 40 years ago!👀💀💀💀😬😬😬🤔🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Naas won't make Rassie team because of his battlestats and tackle success 😂
@@orlandosadie6283 like i said much more competitive... players are bigger ...faster and way harder to tackle
@@heinrichalberts4203 and they play for big money now and not just the love of it
Would love to see Tyrone Green get considered before the Eng definitely grab him!!
I think eng are gonna take him as well as Augustus
Agree
Lock him Dr...don't let the Pomes touch him😊
Unless he gets a run during the Autumn series. At FB we have Willie, Willemse and Fassi really raised his hand for being a solid FB. So Green would get a shot in Autumn, but he must be thinking that he has an uphill battle to secure a long term spot in the bok team.
I think he should grab the English Call, the talent at wing in SA as well as the fact local players have the benefit of Bok coaches regularly visiting the franchises ... brilliant player though
Halalaaaa halalaaaa springbok 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
“Siya is not fat” 😂 🤣
And he’s not trans fat 😂😂😂
I think Rassie came at the right time 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
At the right time 😂 he’s been with the boks for years .. he had more involvement then Jacques at the WC
What is the injury status of Victor Matfield?
Yes! And the injury status of Frik du Preez? What about Danie Craven?
@@PieterGildenhuys Danie sal kringe om almal hardloop.

Victor will start against Portugal apparently
To much Grey Beard
Damian Willemse at the Sharks ?
Elrigh Louw is very unlucky. Tireless performance, week after week. 2nd best Bulls player (after Marco van Staden) in the URC final.
Brendan the M is silent, and the N pronounced in Mngomezulu
Cameron Hanekom is on the list. He is included in the injured players list, meaning Rassie really rates him highly.
Not a Gatland fan he always blames someone else, the ref ect. He was not very successful in New Zealand with the chiefs as well.
I see many guys asking why Tyrone Green hasn’t been included. There is a strong possibility that he declined inclusion due to his ambition to qualify for England. I don’t know if this is indeed the case - but it’s certainly possible
Please, any South African's number one choice is to play for the 4x World Champions.
Elrigh Louw, Sanele Nohamba and Ruan Norje are three guys whose absence is glaring. But I think a break will do them good for next season.
If I was in Rassies shoes ... I'd add all those standby and some unlucky fringe players to the squad, make it about 56 players total. Select the absolute best squad from that for the first test against Ireland, but also select an 'away squad' made up of most of the young future players who've missed out playing in Australia during Super Rugby and those who probably won't make the 2027 RWC because of age. Assuming no major injuries in the 1st ireland test, that squad departs for Aus the day after ... and plays the two Rugby Championship matches against Australia, the one away against Argentina and the bulk in the Portugal test. The 'home squad' with the core of the experienced likely RWC 2027 players stay here for the 2nd Ireland game, the two tests against New Zealand and the home test against Argentina. We might as well use the depth we have at the moment to our advantage. Get the future stars some game time in Aus, avoid the back and forth travel / jet lag pitfalls, bring players like Green into the system and evaluate them in the squad and test match arena
